Super Simple Drizzle Frosting

Super Simple Drizzle Frosting

This super simple drizzle frosting is one of the simplest and most versatile frostings you can make. You might have also heard it called powdered sugar glaze. It whips up in minutes and can go on sweet breads, cookies, cakes. It’s really delicious on red velvet but not too sweet. You can make it so it has a thin consistency that you can drizzle over the top of a cake. Or you can make it thicker and spread on cookies.

This delicious super simple drizzle frosting is usually flavored with vanilla but you can use other extracts. Adding some melted butter would give it a richer taste or almond extract, peppermint. Lemon would be delicious on top of a lemon cake or bread. There are a lot of flavors so you could get creative with whatever you are baking.

Only 3 Ingredients:

1 cup sifted Powdered Sugar
1 Tablespoon Milk (If you wanted it really creamy use 1/2 & 1/2 or cream)
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
Mix very well, it might seem like it’s not enough moisture but just keep mixing and it usually comes out perfect. Add more or less milk to get the consistency that you want. If you are going to use it to drizzle on something, use a fork to test. Scoop some frosting up with a fork and try to drizzle it, if it doesn’t move you need a little more milk.
