I found this article and it caught my attention, 10 weird uses for Vodka besides drinking it. According to The Daily Green, Vodka has many uses besides making cocktails. I’ll put the list below, you have to decide if it’s worth the price. In Washington state where I live the liquor prices are outrageous. I’m not sure I would sacrifice my vodka but it’s an interesting read . I’m not giving out medical advice or telling you how to treat certain ailments, just sharing something different.   1. Treat Poison Ivy, pour directly over the affected area.
  2. Put in a spray bottle and spritz clothing items to freshen, there is no smell when it dries.
  3. Shine fixtures, chrome glass. Pour vodka on a clean cloth and polish away.
  4. Preserve cut flowers, add a few drops and a teaspoon of sugar to the water in the vase.
  5. Put in a spray bottle and use as an insect repellent,
  6. Soothe jellyfish sting, pour on the affected area. (Believe it or not, I’ve been stung by jellyfish while swimming in the ocean, it’s very painful but I didn’t have any vodka on me at the time, bummer).
  7. Get shiny hair, add a shot to your shampoo bottle and shake.
  8. Put in a spray bottle and spray moldy area in your shower or tub. Let it sit for 15 minutes and then scrub away with a small brush.
  9. Ease a toothache, swish in your mouth over the affected area, it could numb the pain temporarily.
  10. Use in cooking, I have an amazing pasta sauce recipe that uses vodka. It doesn’t affect anyone that eats it but it adds just a little something.

Some of them I could see working, others might not be worth the price plus you can find other products that do the same thing. I think I will just stick to making drinks with it. Martini anyone? It has to be 5:00 somewhere!
