Who doesn’t love bacon? We love bacon, it’s not something we eat all the time, besides just having it for breakfast there are a few meals I make that have some bacon in it. I love the convenience of being able to cook bacon without all the splattering and standing over the pan and flipping the bacon, I can just put it in the oven, set the timer, and go.
I’ll never make bacon any other way again and I don’t know why it took me so long to figure this out but I guess better late than never! Set oven to 375, put foil on a baking sheet, and layout your slices of bacon, this is the thick-cut so there aren’t as many slices, if you use the thinner bacon you may want to use 2 baking sheets. I cook mine for around 15 minutes or so, I just keep an eye on it and when it gets to the right crispness I take it out. Check the package as well most of the bacon brands have instructions to cook in the oven.
When you fry it in a pan you can only do small batches so it takes forever to fry a whole package of bacon and the top of your stove is a greasy mess, this way is so easy for me, I can cook the whole package at the same time and afterward just toss the foil and wash the pan, it’s so easy. If you like to save your bacon grease it’s really easy to pour into a jar or container, take all the bacon out, and carefully bend the foil in the middle so the bacon just pours out without making a mess.
Sharing is Caring!
How do you keep your oven from the grease of the bacon ! My son cooks bacon in the oven everyday and the oven is filled with bacon grease
You know I haven’t really noticed the grease, maybe it’s there and I don’t even realize it?
